AIS Feedback after filing ITR

At the time of filing ITR 2 in July, AIS was not fully updated  with capital gain  figures from CDSL but the actual capital gain amount was included in the Total income based on Broker's statement.

The said ITR 2 is still not yet processed. Meanwhile AIS has been revised in the portal with figures from CDSL but the figures are wrong and less than the actual amount. The question of filing Revised Return is ruled out as the Income shown in ITR 2 are correct and over & above AIS figures.

So, while waiting for ITR to be processed, whether AIS Optional Feedback is necessary and to be done or not?

confirmed that no action pending/no e-campaign and grievance reply from portal is it will be processed in batches.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether to provide feedback on AIS (Annual Information Statement) after filing an Income Tax Return (ITR) when the AIS figures are incorrect or incomplete. The consensus suggests that if your filed ITR accurately reflects your income and is already processed or awaiting processing, and there are no pending queries from the tax department, it's often unnecessary to rectify the AIS data. The original ITR figures should be considered correct, especially if they are higher than the AIS amounts.

No need to rectify the AIS data, unless any query from CPC...

Submit the negative feedback and consider actual Income

Suggest no need to rectify AIS as opined by the expert above

Thank you all for the advice.

You are welcome ...

I once again thank you all for the replies as the above said ITR 2 is duly processed (without any action from my end as suggested by you all) and refund is on the way.

Thanks & Regards.

Happy to learn the same...   With All the Best Wishes.....

👍🏻👍🏻
