Hi Kartik,

You're facing an issue where you've exported goods via Air Cargo, received an Airway Bill, but the Shipping Bill is not showing on the ICEGATE portal.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on what to do:

Understand the Basics First:

  • In air exports, the Shipping Bill is generated by Customs after clearance of the goods.

  • The Airway Bill (AWB) is issued by the airline or freight forwarder, and it's different from the Shipping Bill.

  • The Shipping Bill number (SB No.) is required for:

    • Claiming GST refunds

    • Duty drawback

    • Export documentation and compliance

🛠️ What Could Be Causing the Issue?

🔍 Possible Reasons:

  1. Shipping Bill not yet filed by CHA/freight forwarder

  2. Shipping Bill filed manually – not reflected online

  3. Mismatch in IEC or GSTIN

  4. ICEGATE registration incomplete or not linked properly

  5. Technical delay in ICEGATE update

  6. EGM (Export General Manifest) not filed or pending

📌 What You Should Do:

Step 1: Check with your CHA / Freight Forwarder

  • Ask them:

    • Has the Shipping Bill been filed?

    • What is the Shipping Bill number and date?

    • Has the EGM been filed by the airline?

💡 If it's filed, they should give you the SB No., which you can search on ICEGATE.

Step 2: Login to ICEGATE Portal

Go to:

  • My Account > SB Status
Or use "Track Shipping Bill" (if available to your user type)

Search using:

  • IEC

  • Port Code

  • Date range

Step 3: Check EGM Filing Status

  • If Shipping Bill was filed but still not showing as validated, EGM may not be filed yet.

  • Without EGM filing, shipping bill status remains incomplete.

Step 4: Raise ICEGATE Helpdesk Ticket (If Needed)

If you're unable to get the SB details even after checking with your CHA:

  • Go to: https://icegate.gov.in/

  • Click on "Raise a Ticket"

  • Choose appropriate category like "Shipping Bill not visible"

  • Attach AWB and relevant export documents

Step 5: Ensure Your ICEGATE Account is Properly Linked

Make sure:

  • Your IEC is registered on ICEGATE

  • Your GSTIN is mapped correctly

  • Your email and mobile are verified

🚨 Important Notes:

  • In Air Cargo, there can be delays in Shipping Bill visibility compared to Sea Cargo.

  • In case the Shipping Bill was processed manually, it may not reflect unless it’s digitized.
