Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the depreciation rates applicable to air conditioners. The standard rate is 15% per year. If a newly bought AC is put into use after 30th September (less than six months of use in the financial year), the depreciation is halved to 7.5%. Furthermore, air conditioners installed in factories for manufacturing purposes qualify for an additional 20% depreciation.

Depreciation will be at the rate of 15%.if air condition is fixed in factory used for manufacturing additional depreciation @ 20% will also available
