Can first AGM of the Company be held at shorter notice. However as per section 136 THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT needs to be circulated atleast 21 days before. It seems from that it can not be held. Pls guide on the issue urgently

Yes, even first AGM can be held at short notice with approval of members. However, there is no provision in the Act for short consent for circulation of financials u/s 136. Similar position was there under 1956 Act. There was no provision for short consent u/s 219 of 1956 Act regarding circulation of financials before 21 days of meeting.

Circulate Accounts 21 days prior to AGM and conduct AGM on shorter notice with the consent of the members
Can a company appoint Statutory Auditor of the company by issuing shorter notice of AGM.
