whether interest income is supply or not ? If it is covered under supply, same will be taken for calculating aggregate TO. it is important for those whoes TO is on threshold limit of Rs 20 lacs. By including interest received they may be liabile for REGN and other supply (except interest)become taxable.

pl confirm whether interest income is covered under supply or not. defination of goods excludes money. pl provide reason for your valuable reply

No

Transactions in money (unless a fees or commission is charged for such transaction) are exempt under GST.

Since, bank does not charge any commission or fee while giving interest, the transaction is exempted under GST.

"The definition of aggregate turnover includes exempt supplies (Interest on FD in this case)."
