I have recently updated my firm's principal place of address in GST(the previous address is no longer in use). Where else should this address be updated in the case of a private limited company?

What documents should be updated with the new address and kept as proof?

1. MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs)

  • File Form INC-22 (Notice of Change of Registered Office) within 30 days of shifting.

  • If shifting within the same city/state, just file INC-22.

  • After approval, update the Registered Office Address in the MCA records.

2. Income Tax Department

  • Update address on the Income Tax Portal for the company’s PAN and TAN records.

  • Submit updated Registered Office Address proof to the bank.


4. Other Registrations / Licenses
