Actually looking for job ???

When i look in my friends circle / colleagues, everyone is looking for a job.

If i look at any opening, for 1 vacancy a lot of candidates are applying.

every other person is asking, do you know about any vacancy?

But...

When i shared some openings here (i think one of the biggest portel for CA / CS) no one shown interest.

When i tried to create a whatsapp group for Job sharing, only few (< 10) people shown interest.

But still everyone is looking for a job....

Really confused....

People actually looking for a job ????

When i was coming to office...i saw a lot of people having CV in their hands sitting outside a office (designated area for walkins). When enquired, i found that there are 10 vacancies for CAs and no. of candidates were 50+.

Mera desh mahaan.

Hey Sandeep, well you may have been surprised by the no. of job applicants against vacancies. I'm definitely not.

About a couple of weeks ago, I read an news piece in Hike.Heading was India to face serious scarcity of jobs by 2050.On reading further,I came to know that during last 2 decades from 1993 to 2013,30 crores Indians joined the workforce out of which only 14 crores were absorbed in the jobs.I assume few crores got self employed. But still crores are still unemployed. This is because pace of job creation has not kept pace with population growth. Reading further it said about 10 lakhs are joining into the workforce about a crore every year.So the problem is getting worse. It also said about 28 crores more will join the workforce in the next 35 years.

Coming to the subject in question, above demand-supply mismatch is not due to glut of CAs in the economy as this is rumoured cliché.At the same I'd also not say CAs are highly sought after as this is a marketing ploy of ICAI.But I'll say well-rounded CAs are required by corporates. There is no such thing like demand nahi hai jobs availability nahi hai.

At the end, I appreciate your efforts for providing networking opportunities to others for job vacancies as in India more than 60% vacancies are filled through references.Avg is 39% in the world. This I read in the ET app.I do concur with your punchline
u r right and ppl do not want to put efforts in networking...n prefer to go in walkins
