Acknowledgement of receipt of ITR-V

I received the confirmation of receipt of Form V on 27/7/09 (sent on 9/7/09). But unlike what I expected as per the following directions:

Taxpayers are advised that copy of ITR-V sent by them to CPC Bangalore will be scanned after stamping receipt number and date of receipt and the same shall be made available to taxpayers on request through email shortly.

The receipt is a computer generated message with information like Receipt No, Date of receipt etc without any information of the income, tax paid etc (which is shown on the Form V), will this acknowledgement suffice where ever for eg we need to submit a copy of IT return as proof?

as i can see u got the acknowledgement in ninteen days...i have submitted some returns in wee hours around 31st. given the number of returns it may take a little more long time to come...however, i just wish to make sure that do i get the acknowledgement for sure or will i have follow up the deptt.

I would say, you should resend the Form V anyhow and then followup. You may also like to contact the CPC as per the following guidelines on the efiling website:

To assist taxpayers, a limited call center service with two agents has been established at ITD-CPC, Bangalore. Taxpayer queries on status of ITR-V receipt at CPC, Bangalore will be answered on 080-43456700 between 9:30 AM to 6 PM between Monday to Friday. The service will be available in English, Hindi and Kannada.

its taked 10 to 15 days after dispatch the same

Earlier ITR-V could be sent by ordinary post only. Somebody told me that now it can be sent by speed post too. While sending it, can it be folded (carefully to make sure that Bar Code is not folded)?

Do they post the received ITR-V after stamping it on IT website from where it can be printed?
