Quick Summary
This discussion explores the correct accounting treatment for purchased domains and SSL certificates. Options considered include classifying them as intangible assets or expensing them as website costs. The consensus leans towards expensing them as startup or website expenses, as they typically don't meet the criteria for Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) or offer future economic benefits beyond the website itself.

You can show it as an intangible asset.
You can book under Website expenses

The website does not fall under the PPE I guess and there is no future economic benefit. And your not a business as well? Then simply it’s all sorts of expense- start up expenses are expensed, expenditure which does not fall under PPE are expenses, and similarly ssl certificate needs to be expensed because it isn’t enhancing the economic benefits in excess of the website.
