I think there is some confusion, my dear friend membership number is only for Chartered Accountants who have qualified the examination conducted by ICAI. Number given to students is registration number, all students can do all enquiries with this registration number.

Your problem is you don't receive your registration number so you have to wait till one week and after that if you don't get it then you can do enquiry about it with your concerned regional office with your Demand draft number and form number which you have submitted over there.Normally ICAI takes 2-3 weeks or more for updation. you will soon receive letter for your registration from ICAI.

i am agree with sumit Quote, because when bibhuti quote is quation that time i am confuse regarding student membership no.

practising CA only have membership no. and our students have only Registration No.
