About Debit Note 2018-19

Dear sir,
we want raise debit note on account of price increase for the period 2018-19, but customer demanding only basic amount debit note.
so can we raise DN only basic amount on account of price increase for the period 2018-19?
please guide me...

If debit note is being provided for price fluctuation GST liability will also get increased
