I have a query . please help me to solve it
The section 148 of new companies act is about cost audit which replaces section 233B of old act.
My questions are these?
1. are the cost audit rules 2011 also repealed now? if yes are there any other cost audit rules notified under new act or are yet to be notified?
2. If no then are the cost audit rules 2011 still be appropriate and useful for conducting cost audit u/s 148 of new act

No new rules have been specified for cost audit....so follow the 2011 rules accordingly....
Today everything is in mess - courtesy MCA. Section 148 has been notified from 1.4.2014. With this Section 233B of CA 1956 stands repealed alongwith Rules formed thereunder. Now how Section 148 can be implemented without Rules - MCA only can answer this. It seems some action will be taken only after the new Govt. takes charge.

various cost auditors have started giving appointment letter under section 148 of CA-2013.
Pl.suggest about below link -whether companies should follow this or wait for MCA clarification before appointment of cost auditor.
