About Builders

Hello sirs/ma'am

I am a builder and I want to know that if I sell offices for commercial and residential flats then how much GST I will have to levy on the value ?

If I sell all of them after the completion certificate then GST is not applicable. Am I right ?

Can I get input credit of GST for materials used in my apartment and commercial shops ?

Thank You.

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies Goods and Services Tax (GST) implications for builders selling commercial offices and residential flats. It addresses whether GST is applicable when properties are sold after receiving the completion certificate, and explores the possibility of claiming input tax credit for materials used. The consensus suggests no GST and no input credit if sold post-completion, while sales before completion may attract 1% or 5% GST.

No itc
no gst after completion certificate
purchase at least 80 % from registered suppliers

Ok so no gst if I sell after completion certificate and 1% or 5% if I sell before completion certificate.
