Don’t jump directly to the text of AS /AAS unless you have good understanding of the same. Pick up accounting standards by Mr. MP. Vijay Kumar. Start from the basics, you can get through.

Dear Harish,
For study of AS & AAS, you first go through a simplified gists of ASs & AASs from the books such as Rawat & Vijay Kumar.
For study you can follow the step by step method as below-
A. Firstly, try to understand the objective behind introducing the respective AS.
B. Then, try to understand the accounting treatment , disclosure requirement in
the AS.
C. Finally, try to compare the objectives and the said accounting
treatment / disclosure rquirement with the objective.
When you will be able to co relate the objectives of the AS and its impact, you will understand it permanently.
The same approach can be applied for AASs also.
Just try it & soon you will find AS & AAS easy .BEST LUCK for Exams
