A/S Year 2021-2022 ITR Salary Cases

Can I file now an ITR A/S 21-22 salary case?
What should the A/s year 21-22 ITR take care of?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for salary cases for the Assessment Year 2021-2022. It highlights the importance of waiting for TDS returns to be filed by employers and deductors, and checking Form 26AS for accurate TDS credits. Filing is advised only after confirming Form 26AS is updated for the full financial year and Form 16 is received as proof of deduction.

Last date to file TDS return is 30th June after which form 26AS would get updated and thereafter ITR can be filed.

ITR 1 will be applicable for salaried persons and as poornima mentioned wait for some more days because your employer and other deductors may have to file their TDS returns.

otherwise check your 26AS whether it is updated for TDS for 12months of your salary and other TDS also and then if you are sure your TDS is correct then go for filing.

you can go for filing if you get your form 16 also. because it is the proof of your TDS deduction.

advise: don't file return now. because some members are saying portal showing errors
