Whether donation made to PM CARES fund is eligible for 50% deduction or 100% deduction?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the tax deduction eligibility for donations made to the PM CARES Fund. Initially, there was some confusion regarding whether donations qualified for a 50% or 100% deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. It has now been confirmed by the Ministry of Finance, through a Taxation Ordinance, that donations to the PM CARES Fund are eligible for a 100% deduction. Furthermore, the usual 10% limit on gross income for such deductions does not apply to the PM CARES Fund.

100% deduction is allowed as clarified by govt.
100 % deduction, if contribute to PMCARES
Deduction @ 100%
I think it is 50% since PM Care fund is registered as public charitable trust.
NO KARAN Y
IT IS 100% DEDUCTIBLE.
Any notification issued regarding this??
100% deduction is allowable in this case

Why notification do you expect a notification?
Are you not aware of the current situation?
As per the current scenario:

PMNRF operates from the Prime Minister’s Office, South Block, New Delhi-110011 and does not pays any license fee. PMNRF is exempt under Income Tax Act, 1961 under Section 10 and 139 for return purposes. Contributions towards PMNRF are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Prime Minister is the Chairman of PMNRF and is assisted by Officers/ Staff on honorary basis....

Very Rightly said. I appreciate your research work. But PM National Relief Fund and PM CARE Fund are 2 different fund and I know donation to PM NATIONAL RELIEF FUND qualifies for 100% deduction . But my concern is about PM CARES fund

Can 100% donation to PM Cares Fund be claimed as deduction under section 80G?
