Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether angiography procedures are eligible for tax deductions under Section 80DDB in India. The consensus is that angiography itself is not a prescribed disease under Rule 11DD, and therefore, it does not qualify for the deduction. The section specifically lists certain neurological diseases, cancers, AIDS, renal failure, and haematological disorders as eligible conditions.

Yes, it is eligible. The deduction can be claimed by the assessee for himself or for the dependant member of the family.
