Yes it is eligible for government employees. However few experts agree with this opinion and few differ

yes u/s80CCD(1) @ 10% of salary
u/s80CCD(1B) additional deduction of rs 50,000 employees own(individual) contribution to specified (by CG) pension fund
employer contribution to pension fund upto10%of salary &deduction u/s80ccD(1B) NOT covered u/s80CCE overall limit rs1,50,000
