Here are the TOP 8 Reasons why ISCA should be removed (or atleast should be redrafted) from CA Syllabus:

1. The syllabus as such is poorly vetted.

(For example, Chapter 8 is titled as "Emerging Technologies" but the concepts explained therein are almost as old as most of the examinees' age).

2. There is no inter linkage between chapers.

3. All it ends up testing is the "Mug Up" Capacity of the examinee.

4. Paper correction methodology is also largely poor.

(Most Examiners dont even read the contents written by examinee in full).

5. The examination unfortunately does not tests the practical knowledge of the examinee.

6. The case study given as Question No:1 is virtually a Gimmick and ends up testing the "mug-up capacity" of the examinee.

7. The knowledge expected as per ICAI is "Expert Knowledge" but what they really mean is "Expert Mugging Knowledge"

8. No examinee can Drive home "a Knowledge Gain" after writing/passing ISCA.
