Chandigarh Over 60 per cent of those who enroll for chartered accountancy every year in Chandigarh are women, while the national average is 40 per cent, says the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). “Of the 90,000 new admissions across the country, 4,000 are from Chandigarh,” said ICAI president Uttam Prakash Agarwal. He inaugurated a two-day national conference in the city on Saturday.
