Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies that a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) can indeed invest in 54EC bonds to save on capital gains tax. While the general rule requires investment within six months of the asset transfer, there have been extensions. For capital gains arising between specific dates in 2021, the investment deadline was extended to 30th September 2021. It's advised to consult with a CA regarding specific eligibility based on the capital gain accrual date.

Could you also provide reference to any material which confirms that the date for investing in Bonds is extended till 30th September?

May I know when you capital Gain has arises ? I think the date was extended for, date of making investment falls between 20.03.2021 and 29.09.2021.

Hello Sir, thanks for responding, my transaction happened in December 2020, can i still take the extension till September 2021?

Can you give some reference material which confirms this extension so that i can show it to my CA?

Thanks

Shereen

I think you can claim exemption, as your dues date falls between that.
