26AS reconciliation

One of my colleagues has received the Form 16, where the income shown is more than the income actually drawn by him.
Further, the TDS also is not reflected in the 26AS.
I have filed his return by paying the tax again. Planning to file revised return after reconciliation of 26AS.
Is it ok?

Yes, that is correct procedure....

is TDS shown in Form 16 ?
if it is not in Form 16, it won't appear in 26AS
First of you check monthly salary slips and what are deductions shown there.
You have to double check your working and reconcile with employer.

If TDS is actually deducted and not paid by Employer to Government then it's a very serious fault by employer and dire consequences.
@ Kapadia Pravin, TDS deducted, Form16 reflects the same, but 26AS is blank. This is carelessness on the part of the Deductor. My colleague has to wait until reconciliation. I doubt very much about the refund.
