26as - part d

Hello All,

Kindly help on the below confusion :-

For AY 15-16, there was a Refund of 1800. As per 26AS of current year (AY 16-17), in Part D (Details of paid refund), the Amount of Refund shows as 1850 (which means 50 is interest included). I received via ECS 1850 (as mentioned above), which means 1800 will be added to capital, and balance 50 would be taxable as Int on IT Refund.

Now, there is also in Interest Column an amount of 54.

Now, my question is what about the amount of Rs. 54 (which is being shown under Interest Column)....? Does it mean it is yet to be received (as only 1850 is received)??

Please assist.

can you share a screenshot of your form 26as

please see the attachment.

Just to remind : Refund as per ITR filed was 1800.

Regards.

ignore the same, if you are individual / HUF

as there is no provision to add / deduct income tax in individual / HUF files,

but applicable to firms/ companies
