152(3) vs 156

Section 152(3) says that any person can't become a director without getting DIN. While on the other hand, section 156 says that a director has to intimate within one month about his DIN to all companies in which he is a director, after the re
ceipt of DIN from the central govt.

Then which section is correct
Replies (2)
both sections are correct.
152(3) says.. without din you cannot act as director.
156 says.. on getting din, you have to intimate it to Company in which you are about to act as director.

i.e 156 simply means.. director while getting appointed, have to share their din with company in which they are about to get appointed.
