Import / Export 2312 views 6 replies

A Merchant exporter dealing in hardware products, buying from manufacturer in local market and exporting it.

Is it correct that, the merchant export will only need to pay 0.1% GST while procuring finished goods from local market?

Thanks in advance.

advance licence holder, 100%EOU and EPCG can export @ 0.1% till 31.3.18...This is applicable at a time of export... exporter has to pay full duty on purchase.

Thanks for the reply Hitesh,

I read an article on timesofIndia Website, Article Link

The last sentence says, "Merchant exporters will pay 0.1% GST for purchases from domestic players."

Also, it was posted on the Press Information Bureau, GOI Website : Press Release Link

Point 'c' states: "Merchant exporters will now have to pay nominal GST of 0.1% for procuring goods from domestic suppliers for export. The details would be released soon."

So wanted to confirm.

I think the implementation / notifications for this is yet to come.

Even though Govt have issued many notifictaions based on this press brrief, the notifications for 0.1% GST for Merchant Exporter ahve not yet come out.

now notification released Can anybody confirm that 0.10% is for merchant or deemed export ?

merchant export has to pay 0.1% IGST / 0.05% SGST & 0.05% CGST (Whichever applicable) on purchase form factory.

There is Notification No. 41/2017--Integrated Tax (Rate) Dtd. 23rd October, 2017
How to implement, kindly guide
