Background The Quintessence of the Program
Recognizing the fact that Indian start-up ecosystem have really taken off and into its own-
driven by factors like mammoth funding, consolidation activities, evolving technology and
burgeoning domestic market. From 3100 start-ups in 2014 to projection of more than
11,500 by 2020 is highly impressive. In the growth trajectory of start-ups, Company
Secretaries have to play a pivotal role in engendering growth of the start-ups, thereby
providing a fillip to self-reliance and Make-in-India.
The concept of One Person Company (OPC) incorporated in Indian Companies Act, 2013
will prove to be a messiah for the budding entrepreneurs in foraying into Star-up space.
