This document is a joint petition submitted by 24 GST and Trade Associations to the Finance Minister of India. It formally requests an extension for various tax and company law compliances, including GST audits, Income Tax returns, Tax Audit Reports, Transfer Pricing Reports, and ROC compliances. The petition highlights the severe challenges faced by tax professionals and businesses due to the ongoing pandemic and the inadequacy of previously granted extensions. It argues for a more compassionate approach, akin to parental care during distress, and calls for a unified official press release to notify stakeholders of the extended deadlines.
