I build SmartTaxCalc.in, a free open-source Indian income tax calculator suite covering FY 2025-26 and FY 2026-27. The site includes 38+ calculators — old-vs-new-regime comparison, Section 87A marginal relief, capital gains (111A/112/112A/115BBH), HRA, CTC breakdown, home loan interest, NPS, and more.

All tax content is technically reviewed by CA Ankitkumar Italiya (ICAI Membership Number 644575). The site is browser-only, requires no signup, and carries no paywall. Tax rules are JSON-driven and updated with each Finance Act.

I write on tax calculation edge cases (marginal relief, capital-gains carve-outs, employer-NPS 80CCD(2) planning, perquisite valuations under Rule 3) with the aim of making them precise references for practitioners.
