I am a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Commerce graduate from the University of Madras and a law graduate from the reputed Dr. Ambedkar Govt. Law College (Five years integrated Law course), Chennai.

I have around 15 years of experience in the areas of Corporate Secretarial and Legal matters and have undertaken statutory compliances and voluntary audits under the Company Law. With my reasonable exposure in both Secretarial and Legal matters, I am performing as a mentor in providing secretarial and legal solutions to the entire corporate sector.

I am a passionate reader, voracious speaker and prolific writer on varied legal and secretarial matters. I regularly contribute as a speaker and writer in various professional forums/journals including the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

I have authored four  books so far, namely “LLP Made Easy”, “Handbook on Companies Act, 2013” and “Guide to Companies Act, 2013” all of which were very well received by the readers. “Guide to Companies Act, 2013”  is one of the very few books available in the market on Companies Act, 2013 which presents the Act and Rules in a very simple, crisp and logical manner. This Second Edition of Guide to Companies Act, 2013 is updated with MCA amendments made till August 2015.   

I am privileged to receive India’s most coveted Institutional Presentation and Prestigious Recognition Award of “BHARAT GAURAV AWARD” for being worthy example to inspire others for remarkable achievement in the Grand Annual Glittering Ceremony to be held at New Delhi organized by INDIA INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY, India’s leading Voluntary Organisation of Socio-Economic Existence, New Delhi in the year 2015.

Professional Experiences

The following are the some of my major areas of practice:

1)       Drafting of various types of agreement including Shareholders Agreement, Foreign Collaboration Agreement, Joint Venture Agreement, Confidentiality Agreement and Standing Order of the Company etc.

2)       Mainly focused on Scheme of Amalgamation/Merger, Demerger and Scheme of Arrangement and Reconstruction of Companies (M&A). Handled many important and complicated matters and got favourable orders.

3)       Regular appearance before Company Law Board.

4)       Regular interaction with the Registrar of Companies, Regional Director, Ministry of Company affairs, Official Liquidator, High Court Chennai, Stock exchanges.

5)       Undertaken Secretarial Due Diligence and Audit for various companies. 

6)       Main focus in the area of Foreign Exchange related law matters(FEMA)
