A senior finance professional with over 17 years of experience of Indirect Taxation and SAP implementation & support. As a part of Automotive OEM, I have been a core team member of GST implementation in OEM and played a vital role in obtaining the Eligibility Certificate worth INR 1260 crore from the GoTN in November 2014 and INR 11 crore refund of VAT from the GoM in May 2013.

Proficiency in obtaining incentives that are in the form of investment-linked state subsidies such as exemption from stamp duty, electricity tax, and output VAT/CST refund. I have assisted auditors in providing updates on queries raised by respective authorities that conduct audits, including VAT audits conducted by the commercial tax department, CERA by Central Excise, and internal audits by Service Tax authorities. Instrumental in maintaining compliance and help the team to be in harmony with taxation compliance.

Currently, I am responsible for maintaining VAT compliance and collaborating with the team to help implement and migrate the data on GST to systems. I have impeccably monitored statutory compliance in a broad range of areas, including filling of forms (C, D, E1, E2, and H), preparation of documents that are required for the assessment; filing of appeals for disputes; submission of MIS reports, cash flow, and statements for contingent liability; and budget preparation and finalisation with CAO.

With extensive experience, I have accrued impressive hands-on experience with Corporate Taxation along with Indirect Taxation. Being in taxation domain, I have gained considerable exposure to GST, VAT, Sales Tax, Service Tax, Excise Duty, Customs Duty, Income Tax, Capital Tax, Entry Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Assets Accounting. Along with this, I was instrumental in preparing export documentation with brief exposure to Free Trade Warehousing Zones and regular exports.
