ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants. We aim to offer business-relevant, first-choice qualifications to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy, finance and management. 

We support our 162,000 members and 428,000 students in 173 countries, helping them to develop successful careers in accounting and business, with the skills needed by employers. We work through a network of 89 offices and centres and more than 8,500 Approved Employers worldwide, who provide high standards of employee learning and development.

In recent years, ACCA qualifications have seen a growth in demand across India. In India, as a strong emerging economy the demand for professional accountants is on rise and a global professional qualification such as ACCA provides a competitive differentiation. In addition, more and more multinationals are setting up in India and likewise many Indian companies provide global services.  ACCA members through their qualification are increasingly in demand by such companies.

ACCA qualifications have international standards at their heart and have had so since they introduced International Accounting Standards in their syllabi in 1996 – the first professional body to do so. This has helped to ensure the global relevance of the ACCA qualifications. As with other countries around the world that have converged to IFRS, ACCA qualifications have become increasingly relevant in India.
