FAQ :
This notification updates the tariff values for certain goods, including edible oils, brass scrap, areca nut, gold, and silver, as per Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962.
The revised tariff values are effective from the 16th day of June, 2021.
The notification specifies updated tariff values for edible oils (Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, etc.), Brass Scrap, Areca nuts, Gold, and Silver.
For edible oils, the tariff values are: Crude Palm Oil at US $1222 PMT, RBD Palm Oil at US $1245 PMT, Other Palm Oil at US $1234 PMT, Crude Palmolein at US $1262 PMT, RBD Palmolein at US $1265 PMT, and Other Palmolein at US $1264 PMT.
For gold, the tariff value is US $601 per 10 grams. For silver, the tariff value is US $893 per kilogram.
The tariff value for Brass Scrap (all grades) has been set at US $5761 per Metric Tonne.
