Dear Sir,
Sub: Statement of additional information (SAI) & Scheme Information Document (SID) to be made available on SEBI website
1. Presently, draft SID is placed on SEBI website for public comments. With a view to make SEBI website as a central data base for SAI and SID, AMCs shall henceforth submit:
(i) A soft copy of SAI within 7 days of issuance of this circular and;
(ii) Soft copy of SIDs alongwith printed/final copy two working days prior to the launch of the scheme.
Soft copies of these documents shall be submitted to SEBI in PDF format.
2. Mutual Funds are required to update the SID and SAI in terms of clause 5 and clause 6 of circular no. SEBI/IMD/CIR No. 5/126096/08 dated May 23, 2008. A soft copy of updated SAI and SID shall be filed with SEBI in PDF format within 7 days alongwith a
printed copy of the same.
3. Further, in continuation with the current practice of uploading the SAI on AMFI website, AMCs shall also upload the soft copy of SID on AMFI website two working days prior to the launch of the scheme.
4. AMC shall also submit an undertaking to SEBI while filing the soft copy of the aforementioned documents certifying that information contained in the soft copy of SID and SAI (as applicable) to be uploaded on SEBI website is current and relevant and matches exactly with the contents of the hard copy. Further, AMCs shall be fully responsible to the content of the soft copy of SID and SAI.
