This notification concerns imports of 'Polybutadiene Rubber'.
The imports under investigation are from Korea RP.
The increase is proposed because increased imports of Polybutadiene Rubber from Korea are considered to have caused serious injury to the domestic industry, and there is a causal link between these imports and the injury.
The investigation is being conducted under the India-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (Bilateral Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2017.
The investigation was initiated on November 7, 2019.
Preliminary findings indicated that the domestic industry suffered serious injury due to duty concessions on Korean imports, leading to increased imports at low prices, and that critical circumstances exist justifying provisional measures.
