Section 53F of the Competition Act, 2002 - Term of Office of Chairperson and Members of Appellate Tribunal

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 53C read with section 53F of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003), the Central Government hereby appoints Dr. Arijit Pasayat as Chairperson of the Competition Appellate Tribunal with effect from 20th May, 2009 for a period of five years or till he attains the age of sixty eight years whichever is earlier.
2. The terms and conditions of his service will be governed by the Competition Appellate Tribunal (Salaries and Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2009 as notified vide notification No. G.S.R. 137(E), dated 27th February, 2009 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3(i).
