In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Food Safety and Standard Authority Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), the Central Government hereby appoints the 29th June, 2009 as the date on which the provisions of section 99 of the said Act shall come into force.
