SEBI Extension of time for holding the Annual General Meeting (AGM) by top 100 listed entities by market capitalization

FAQ :

The usual deadline requires the top 100 listed entities by market capitalisation to hold their AGM within five months from the closing date of the financial year.

SEBI has extended the deadline in response to requests from listed entities and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, citing the impact of the CoVID-19 pandemic.

For the financial year 2020-21, the top 100 listed entities by market capitalisation can now hold their AGM within a period of six months from the date of closing of the financial year.

This circular comes into force with immediate effect.

The extension applies to the top 100 listed entities by market capitalisation that have listed their specified securities.
