The Supreme Court has issued a circular stating that only urgent matters will be listed for hearing from 22nd April 2021. To have a new matter listed, Advocates-on-Record or Parties-in-Person must email a signed application with a one-page synopsis of urgency grounds to sc@sci.nic.in by 1:00 PM on weekdays or 11:30 AM on Saturdays. For Interlocutory Applications (IA) in pending matters or Miscellaneous Applications (MA) in disposed matters, the application and synopsis should be emailed to an.sc@sci.nic.in with the same deadlines.

FAQ :

The Supreme Court will start listing only urgent matters with effect from 22nd April 2021.

For new matters, you should send a signed and verified mentioning-application along with a one-page synopsis of urgency grounds via email to sc@sci.nic.in. The deadline is 1:00 PM on weekdays and 11:30 AM on Saturdays.

For Interlocutory Applications (IA) in pending matters and Miscellaneous Applications (MA) in disposed matters, you should email the signed and verified mentioning-application with a one-page synopsis of urgency grounds to an.sc@sci.nic.in.

The deadlines for submitting mentioning applications are by 1:00 PM on working days (Monday to Friday) and by 11:30 AM on Saturdays.

Mentioning applications received after the specified deadlines will be processed for listing on the working day after the next to next working day, subject to the availability of the concerned Bench and approval of the Competent Authority.
