Rescind notification Nos. 190/1978-Customs and 191/1978-Customs both dated 22th September, 1978 prescribing additional duty of customs on imports of transformer oil

G.S.R…….(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff
Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to
do, hereby rescinds the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of
Revenue), as specified in column (2) of the Table below, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide corresponding numbers G.S.R. as specified in column (3) of the said Table, except
as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission, namely:-

FAQ :

Notification No. 190/1978-Customs and Notification No. 191/1978-Customs, both dated 22nd September 1978, are being rescinded.

The rescinded notifications prescribed an additional duty of customs on imports of transformer oil.

This notification comes into force on the 2nd day of February, 2022.

This notification is issued by the Central Government, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue).

The rescission is made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
