Notification to extend due date for filing returns in Maharashtra

THE MAHARASHTRA STATE TAX ON PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS AND EMPLOYMENTS ACT, 1975

No. PFT.1220,CR.21/Taxation-3.- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 6 of the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975 (Mah. XVI of 1975) the Government of Maharashtra hereby amends the Government Notification Finance Department No. PFT.2014/C.R. 38/Taxation-3 dated the 21st August 2014 as follows, namely:-

In the SCHEDULE Appended to the said Notification in the entry (7), in column (e) for the figures letters and word “31st July 2020” the figures letters and word  “30th September 2020” shall be substituted.

The new due date for filing Profession Tax returns in Maharashtra is 30th September 2020.

This extension is related to the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975.

The previous due date was 31st July 2020.
