New Delhi, the 27th November, 2020
S.O. 4283(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 435 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby designates the following Courts mentioned in the Table below as Special Courts in the States of Maharashtra, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu for the purposes of trial of offences under this Act, in respect of cases filed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India, namely:—

FAQ :
This notification designates specific courts as Special Courts for the trial of offences under the Companies Act, 2013, particularly for cases filed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
The designation is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 435 of the Companies Act, 2013.
Special Courts have been designated in the states of Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.
In Maharashtra, Court number 22 and Court number 39 of the City Civil and Sessions Court, Mumbai (Greater Mumbai) have been designated.
