Notification No. 50/2016- Central Excise (N.T.)

New Delhi, the 31st December, 2016

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 4A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 49/2008-Central Excise (N.T.), dated the 24th December, 2008, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (i), vide number G.S.R. 882(E), dated the 24th December, 2008, namely :-

In the said notification, in the Table,-

(i.) against serial number 51, for the entries in column (2), the entries “3824 99 24 or 3824 99 90” shall be substituted;

(ii.) against serial number 58, for the entries in column (3), the entries "Unglazed Vitrified Tiles (whether polished or not) or Glazed Tiles" shall be substituted;

(iii.) serial number 59 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;

(iv.) against serial number 76, for the entry in column (2), the entry “8472 90” shall be substituted.

2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 2017
