Designating Central Public Information Officers under the Right to Information Act, 2005

The following Officers are hereby designated as Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) in IRDAI in terms of Section 5(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 to discharge functions assigned under the Act:

In terms of Section 5(2) of the RTI Act, 2005, the following Officers are designated as Central Assistant Public Information Officers (CAPIO) to discharges the functions assigned under the Act:

This will be in addition to their normal duties and will come into force with immediate effect.

This order supersedes all earlier orders issued in this regard.

FAQ :

This notification designates officers within IRDAI as Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) and Central Assistant Public Information Officers (CAPIOs) to fulfil the requirements of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Several officers, including General Managers (GMs) and Deputy General Managers (DGMs) from various departments such as Investment, Finance & Accounts, Legal, and Enforcement, have been designated as CPIOs.

Ms. Nimisha Srivastava (DGM) in the New Delhi Regional Office and Mr. Vikas Rane (AM) in the Mumbai Regional Office have been designated as CAPIOs.

These designations come into force with immediate effect.

Yes, this order supersedes all earlier orders issued regarding the designation of CPIOs and CAPIOs.
