New Delhi, dated the 19th November, 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the Notification No. 105/2020-Customs(N.T.), dated 5th November, 2020 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs hereby determines that the rate of exchange of conversion of each of the foreign currencies specified in column (2) of each of Schedule I and Schedule II annexed hereto, into Indian currency or vice versa, shall, with effect from 20th November, 2020, be the rate mentioned against it in the corresponding entry in column (3) thereof, for the purpose of the said section, relating to imported and export goods.

FAQ :

This notification establishes the official rates of exchange for converting foreign currencies into Indian currency, or vice versa, for imported and exported goods.

These exchange rates are effective from November 20, 2020.

This notification supersedes Notification No. 105/2020-Customs(N.T.), dated November 5, 2020, except for things done or omitted before the supersession.

Yes, the rates of exchange are specified separately for imported goods and exported goods in the schedules.

Schedule I covers currencies such as Australian Dollar, Bahraini Dinar, Canadian Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Danish Kroner, EURO, Hong Kong Dollar, Kuwaiti Dinar, New Zealand Dollar, Norwegian Kroner, Pound Sterling, Qatari Riyal, Saudi Arabian Riyal, Singapore Dollar, South African Rand, Swedish Kroner, Swiss Franc, Turkish Lira, UAE Dirham, and US Dollar.

Schedule II covers Japanese Yen and Korean Won.
