The main purpose is to bring about transparency in the investor grievance redressal mechanism by requiring stock exchanges, depositories, and clearing corporations to disclose data on complaints received against them.
All recognised Stock Exchanges (excluding Commodity Derivatives Exchanges), Depositories, and Clearing Corporations are required to disclose complaint data.
The data must be disclosed on their websites by the 7th of the succeeding month.
The disclosed data includes the number of complaints received, carried forward, resolved, and pending, along with the average resolution time, presented in a specified format.
These provisions come into effect from January 01, 2022.
Yes, these disclosure requirements are in addition to those already mandated by SEBI.
