The Indian Government has introduced the Customs Tariff (Identification and Assessment of Safeguard Duty) Amendment Rules, 2021. These new rules, which came into effect on 2nd February 2021, amend the existing Customs Tariff (Identification and Assessment of Safeguard Duty) Rules of 1997. The primary change involves substituting the word "Duty" with "Measures" in sub-rule (1) of rule 1.
