FAQ :
The purpose of Custom Notification No. 44/2024 is to make further amendments to the Government of India's notification No. 27/2011-Customs.
This notification was issued by the Central Government, under the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue).
The amendments are made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962.
The Central Government is making these amendments because it is satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest to do so.
The notification being amended is No. 27/2011-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2011.
