NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 15th June, 2021

G.S.R. 409(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 173, 177, 178 and section 186, read with section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Amendment Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014, rule 4 shall be omitted.

Note : The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (i), vide notification number G.S.R. 240(E), dated the 31 March, 2014 and subsequently amended as follows:-

FAQ :

These are new rules issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to further amend the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014.

The Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Amendment Rules, 2021, came into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

The amendment rules introduce the omission of rule 4 from the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014.

The rules are made in exercise of powers conferred by sections 173, 177, 178, and 186, read with section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013.
