G.S.R. 670(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes further amendments in the following notifications of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the table below to the extent specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said table, namely: -

The purpose of Notification 55/2023 is to make further amendments to existing notifications under the Customs Act, 1962, as deemed necessary in the public interest.

Notification 55/2023 was issued by the Central Government, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

This notification makes amendments under the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962.
