NOTIFICATION

S.0:- In pursuance of sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 138 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, the Central Government hereby specifies 'Chief Executive Officer, Center for e-Governance, Government of Karnataka' for the purposes of the said clause in connection with sharing of information regarding income-tax assessees for identifying the eligible beneficiaries for implementing social security / public welfare schemes with the help of Entitlement Management System.

FAQ :

The notification authorises the sharing of income tax assessee information with the Chief Executive Officer, Center for e-Governance, Government of Karnataka, to identify beneficiaries for social security and public welfare schemes.

This notification is issued in pursuance of sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 138 of the Income-tax Act, 1961.

The Chief Executive Officer, Center for e-Governance, Government of Karnataka, is authorised to receive the information.

The information is being shared for the purpose of identifying eligible beneficiaries for implementing social security and public welfare schemes with the help of the Entitlement Management System.
